Myself and a group of creators have been working with Looking Glass Factory (the people behind real life holographic displays) and we're really excited to share something with you.

Holograms that are embeddable and shareable in browser, mobile, and VR!

The applications for these are pretty broad and you're probably going to see a lot of these popping up from other creators now. I'm really excited for the potential for using these within design and especially sharing with clients. Something about embedded 3D content in the web is that it needs to be rendered live, however, with these holograms, they're prerendered so you can get all the benefits of Cycles with its bells and whistles.

I'm embedding a few animated GIFs in the email here but the actual holograms are controlled with the mouse in browser, or by moving around in VR! Be sure to check the links beneath each GIF.

I'm really excited about this new tech, I think it opens a huge amount of opportunities for sharing work in new ways, also for taking advantage of how the views are spliced together to add extra layers of discovery into viewing a render.
